A Closer Look at this Previously Featured Amish Recipe

Fruit Cake

1 pound dates

1 pound shelled mixed nuts

1 pound walnuts

1/2 pound dried cherries

1 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup brown sugar

4 large egss

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375o.  Mix fruit and nuts in bowl. Sprinkle flour, sugar, salt

and baking powder over fruit and nuts.  Mix well.  Add beaten eggs and mix.

Bake at 375o for 1 hour.
